Save the Dates: October Social Media Summit in Rochester

The Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media will be hosting our third annual Social Media Summit October 17-19, 2011 on our Rochester, Minn. campus.

Like the first two summits, which we held on our Arizona and Florida campuses before the Center for Social Media was created, we're producing this event in cooperation with Ragan Communications.

The conference will have three tracks:

• Social Media/Marketing Communications
• Mobile Communications
• Physicans/Health Care Professionals

We already have a great set of speakers and panels confirmed, and as we're putting together the final program we invite you to submit a proposal. For example, we'd like to include case studies on

• Small hospitals using social media to stretch budget dollars (or whatever currency is used in your country)
• Crisis Communications
• Innovative video projects

We're open to other suggestions, too, so please send yours and we'll be in touch to discuss.

In conjunction with the conference, we also will be hosting a member meeting for the Social Media Health Network, which will run from Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 19, to noon Thursday. Wednesday evening we're organizing a networking dinner for members. More details on that coming later.
