Registration is now open for the 2012 social media week at Mayo Clinic, Oct. 15-19, which is highlighted by our fourth annual Social Media Summit, produced in cooperation with Ragan Communications.
On Tuesday we have Ragan-produced half-day workshops in the morning and afternoon, with an evening reception for all Summit participants. The Summit runs from Wednesday morning until Thursday noon. In 2011 we had 375 participants from 38 states and four countries, and this year’s conference promises to be even bigger.
Our member meeting for the Social Media Health Network runs from Thursday noon to Friday noon and includes a special Thursday evening member dinner. The Thursday afternoon focus will be research on practical applications of social media in health care and demonstrating concrete benefits. We’re sponsoring a scientific session on social media in health care, including an abstract contest in which you can submit your case studies and research projects for presentation orally or in a poster session. Here are the details. Friday morning will feature member-led discussions in breakout groups.
We hope you’ll join us for as much of the week as you can; if you haven’t previously participated in Social Media Residency, come to Rochester Sunday and stay through the member meeting!
To encourage maximum participation, we have discounted registration for Social Media Health Network members using our credits system.
Starting in 2012, new or renewed Network memberships include a variable number of credits worth $100 each. The number of credits is based on the membership level, and the key contact for each member organization decides how to allocate the credits among employees. Use credits toward regular-price registration for any of our educational and networking events, and if you need more credits you may purchase them for $75 each, saving 25 percent.
The registration form lists the cost in credits for each of the week’s events. As a special bonus, all Network members receive one complimentary pre-conference workshop with their Summit registration.
If you have already registered for the Summit using the Ragan site, use the form to register for Social Media Residency and/or the member meeting.
