Voting has closed for the Patient/Caregiver Scholarship Contest sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media, which will provide three full scholarships (including travel and lodging expenses) to social media week at Mayo Clinic, Oct. 15-19, 2012 in Rochester, Minn.
Even though voting has ended, we still encourage everyone to continue sharing these essays on Facebook, Twitter and leaving positive comments. We are now starting to tabulate the results and will have the finalists announced by the end of Friday, August 10. The three scholarship recipients will be chosen from among the fifteen finalists by a panel of judges drawn from our Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media External Advisory Board.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this contest and helped share all of the wonderful essays. You are all helping to bring patient perspectives to social media week at Mayo Clinic!
