Social Media Grand Rounds is based on the Grand Rounds concept that is common in academic medical centers, in which medical or surgical staff members gather to hear case studies and guest lectures as part of their continuing education.
This time we’ll be highlighting three of Mayo Clinic’s recent social media initiatives, with presentations from our MCCSM staff:
Elizabeth Harty and Makala Johnson will review the ways Mayo Clinic is using social media in conjunction with its Sesquicentennial celebration and its mobile exhibit.
Tony Hart will discuss the use of social media in Mayo Clinic’s continuing medical education programs, and particularly the new @MayoMedEd Twitter account, and
Lee Aase will provide an update on MCCSM’s Social Media Residency program as it has moved to a one-day course, and recent cohorts in Salt Lake City and Rochester.
