Bringing the Social Media Revolution to Health Care

Mayo Gonda_small-300x201.EDITEDClinic Center for Social Media (MCCSM)
MCCSM, a first-of-its-kind social media center focused on health care, builds on Mayo Clinic’s leadership as an early adopter of social media tools.

We exist to improve health globally by accelerating the application of social media tools throughout Mayo Clinic; spurring broader and deeper engagement by hospitals, medical professionals and patients.

Social Media Philosophy
We believe individuals have the right and responsibility to advocate for their own health, and it's our responsibility to help them use social media tools to get the best information, and connect with providers as well as one another.

To lead the social media revolution in health care, contributing to health and well being for people everywhere.

To be the authentic voice for patients and health care professionals, building collaborative relationships through the revolutionary power of social media.

Social Media Health Network (SMHN)
The Social Media Health Network (SMHN) provides access to tools, resources and guidance for organizations as well as individuals who want to use social media for health and health care.

You're invited to preview SMHN resources by creating a free Guest account, using your work email and your real name (no aliases or abbreviations, please). If your employer is already a Network member, you already have full access to all resources, including our curriculum and member-only forums.

We also offer individual memberships for anyone working in health care,
as well as discounted associate memberships for
patients and family caregivers, students and academic faculty.
Visit our Join the Network page for more information, or send us an email.

Please note that we neither share nor sell our mailing lists.
