Points are the currency of the Social Media Health Network. A point is worth $1 toward the regular registration cost for events and  training courses sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media and services provided through the Social Media Health Network.

Points about Points

  1. Member organizations receive points equal to half of their annual dues, which are based on the organization's revenue. For example, a member organization with dues of $4,000 will receive 2,000 points to spend on MCCSM events and Network services.
  2. Points are assigned to the organization's leader within the Network, generally the person who secured or authorized funding for membership dues. The leader may transfer points to other employees to cover event or course registration costs.
  3. Non-members generally may attend MCCSM events by registering at the standard rates.
  4. Members needing additional points may purchase them for $0.75 each, saving 25 percent on all events and programs. Any member (not just organization leaders) may purchase discounted points.
