Recently, MHAdegree.org (sister site to the largest public health property, MPHProgramsList.com) published an article on the Top 50 Most Social Media Friendly Hospitals for 2013.
The staff at MHAdegree.org gathered social media stats for all of the hospitals listed as “Nationally Ranked” for at least one adult specialty by U.S. News & World Report and used the number of followers and the amount of activity on each platform to calculate a score. The highest possible score was 100, with 21 points awarded for Facebook, 17 for Twitter, 18 for YouTube, 18 for LinkedIn, 8 for Pinterest, 12 for Google Plus, and 6 for Flickr.
Of the top 50 hospitals ranked on the list, six (besides Mayo Clinic) are members of the Social Media Health Network (SMHN). They include:

Is anything done like this for health systems? I would like to think Mayo Clinic Health System would do well on something like this, but I assume we were disqualified since we are not a "hospital" but a group of hospitals and clinics.Reply by jeremy_jensen
